Abstract
This article examines the role of authentic digital materials in developing the listening and speaking skills of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) students learning English as a foreign language. The study focuses on the pedagogical potential of videos, podcasts, interviews, online tutorials, webinars, professional presentations, and other technology-related digital resources. A qualitative, literature-based approach was used to examine theoretical perspectives and previous research concerning authentic materials, technology-enhanced language learning, listening comprehension, speaking development, and professional communication. The analysis indicates that appropriately selected authentic digital materials can provide learners with exposure to natural pronunciation, different accents, spontaneous speech, professional terminology, and contemporary technology-related topics. Such resources can also facilitate vocabulary development, speaking fluency, pronunciation, learner confidence, critical thinking, and learner autonomy. The article further identifies the importance of pedagogical preparation when incorporating digital content into English lessons.
