Comparative Analysis Of Caffeine Determination In Non-Alcoholic Beverages Using Hplc And Uv-Vis Spectrophotometry According To GOST 30059-93
Abstract
This article presents a comparative analysis of High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and Ultraviolet-Visible (UV-Vis) spectrophotometry methods for the quantification of caffeine in non-alcoholic beverages. The HPLC analysis was conducted in accordance with the regulatory requirements of GOST 30059-93, while the spectrophotometric evaluation was based on the characteristic UV absorption profile of caffeine. By evaluating the analytical performance, selectivity, accuracy, cost-effectiveness, and practical applicability of both techniques, this study aims to validate the optimal methodology for routine quality control and food safety assurance in beverage products.
